A Few Good People

2011

The scene is of sad walls, a sticky bar counter, a few old chairs, neon lighting…and behind it all, at the back, a few good people.

A harmonious group of people with a peculiar trajectory. Sincere and selfless people. Genuine fugitives from long applauses. But at some almost imperceptible moment, the change begins. Transformed into distrusting and prematurely aged people, they find they have no other option but to disappear off stage with one last play. The scene is one of sad walls, a sticky bar counter, a few old chairs, neon lighting… and behind it all, at the back, a few good people.

La República Cultural

“A great discourse which arises from its story, from its proposal.”

TeatroLand

“(…) More than naturalness, the marvel of an emotional theatricality is sought and achieved.”

Synopsis

A Few Good People depicts the day to day lives of the four members of Pont Flotant in a hypothetical future. A return journey through time which mixes different languages and includes the presence of people who are not actors collaborating on stage. All seen from a personal viewpoint, packed with humour and irony to reflect on the individual’s ability to commit to society and the difficulty of always maintaining a coherent attitude.
